SAN DIEGO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Aug. 12, 2004-- Kintera(R) Inc. (Nasdaq:KNTA), a leading provider of software as a service to nonprofit organizations, announced today that the company has signed a letter of intent to acquire Kamtech Information Systems, a provider of wealth screening services. Kamtech's solutions will help expand the reach and breadth of data mining and prospect identification technologies provided to nonprofits by Prospect Information Network (P!N(TM)), a service of Kintera. "This proposed acquisition continues the consolidation within the wealth screening industry, enabling P!N and Kamtech to offer more robust and cost effective solutions to a broader market."
Added Greg Williams, founder of Kamtech, "We are thrilled to be joining Kintera, the proven technology leader in the nonprofit space. Our wealth screening tools will help in furthering Kintera's goal of providing the nonprofit community with the most innovative and comprehensive technology solutions."
